Facilitator training
The weekly course pattern
12 weeks
7–9 hours of interactive self-study per week
A weekly meeting lasting two to two and a half hours
A group of 2 to 12 students, according to the manual
A comprehensive exam, a research project, or both at the end of the course
Three ways to access
E-learning through Moodle, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
Mobile learning for Certificate of Ministry courses through GrowSpace and messaging tools
Printed books and in-person, face-to-face study
Three learning models
Traditional: printed books and a local group meeting face to face, often in a church
Blended: multimedia online content with in-person group meetings
Fully online: content and discussion online for students from different regions and countries
The six principles
Educating leaders where they are
A curriculum that responds to the needs of local churches and communities
High-quality interactive self-study materials
A weekly group meeting
The facilitator guides learning rather than lecturing
Practical ministry that connects knowledge with application
The facilitator's role
The facilitator leads discussion, clarifies concepts, and encourages application. The manual states that a facilitator holds a university degree, has completed three PTEE courses, and has finished the facilitator training workshop, along with spiritual and ministry qualifications.
Practical ministry experience
Practical experience makes up about 10% of the hours in each program. Students take part weekly in an approved church ministry and meet a ministry supervisor for guidance and reflection. Forty hours of ministry count as one credit hour.
The information on this page is drawn from the attached Arabic academic manual. Confirm course schedules, fees, specializations, and any curriculum changes with the PTEE office when registering.
