Course requirements
7–9 hours of self-study per week for 12 weeks
A weekly meeting lasting two to two and a half hours
Weekly assessment exercises
A final assessment of at least 70%: an exam, a project, or both
A weekly ministry activity when practical experience is credited
Growth in knowledge, spirit, and skills
Standard grading system
Student book assignments: 10%
Attendance and participation: 20%
Weekly tests: 30%
Final exam: 40%
Up to 20% may be assigned to projects, with the test and exam weights adjusted
Passing and absence
70% is the minimum for the final exam and the overall grade
The final exam may be retaken once within two weeks by students who did not reach the minimum
Maximum absence: three meetings; after that the course must be repeated
A failed course may be retaken
Withdrawal
Withdrawing from a course: inform the facilitator; no credit hours are awarded for the course
Withdrawing from a program: students are advised to inform the dean
Credit transfer
Submit a written request to the dean naming the courses to be credited, along with the course description and syllabus. The previous institution sends a sealed transcript to the PTEE Service Centre in Amman. The transfer is evaluated and the student is informed of the accepted hours.
Library
Local church libraries are the nearest resource for extension students
The PTEE Service Centre library is available to students in Amman
The manual encourages the use of online resources
Transcripts and complaints
Students may request a personal transcript or have an official transcript sent directly to an educational institution
A fee is charged for each transcript, set by the local office
Complaints go first to the facilitator, or to the dean if they concern the facilitator
